Description
This is the paid version of the Trump parody book Donald the Pig Thought He Was a King. Both Fahrenheit and Celsius versions are included. This version is for those who enjoyed the book, understand the seriousness of the times, and would like something cute to remember these ugly times.
You already know the story. There is one substantive difference: after the war pigs return from committing their atrocities, we changed their reaction from “The war pigs returned, their sunken heads made no sound,” to “The war pigs returned–their shameful glee, the most awful sound,” We made this change to explore basic human nature. We firmly believe both statements are true. Anyone who would commit an atrocity spends 90% of their time in silence, with sunken heads…contemplating what they have done. In other words, ALL human-beings are essentially good, when they’re not being defiled by fervor and ideology. However, in public, they become something quite different. We wanted both truths to be expressed.
There are all the same characters, both lovable and not-so-lovable. Old Man Canny (our hero), Rushie (the doubly duplicitous character(s)), Scotty the Kangaroo (he’s a kangaroo, so that kinda tells you how we currently feel about SCOTUS), the pig Donald, and all the animals caught in the middle. Although a simple story, it became a labor of love. We made 28 revisions, by the end. We would “have words” with anyone who doesn’t consider it a serious book, in its own right, despite its facial simplicity. We hope you all feel something of what we feel when we read our book. If not, we failed. In short, we hope you truly like and enjoy our little book. If you do and would like us to fight authoritarianism in our way, please purchase a copy for you and your family/friends. We wouldn’t normally ask someone to buy more than a copy, so we owe you an explanation: 1) Mainly, the amount of apathy is saddening–anyone who has engaged with the general public knows of what we speak. For those who are engaged, you (unjustly) need to fight harder (for their sake). This is a general statement that extends well beyond ‘Donald the Pig’. That is the main reason. 2) We tried to price the book so that it would be accessible to everyone. So for those who have more means, we are essentially asking you to buy a “more expensive book” that entitles you to give free copies to your friends/family.
Purchasing this digital edition is the best way you can help to get this project off the ground. [Unless you’re some kind of influencer: then the best way to help is by reading it on your platform to your fans/followers and urging them to be a part. If this applies to you, INFORM YOUR FOLLOWING TO CALL THEIR ISP IF THEY CAN’T GET TO OUR WEBSITE! (See the ‘Action’ page for an explanation.) We only ask you, if possible, to find a good voice for Old Man Canny…he has a very distinctive voice in our heads.] Hopefully, you think the book is worth something on its own, but its true value lies in what it can do in the fight. It could make a huge difference in the courts, in the media, and in general society. THAT is what you truly are purchasing/contributing when you buy a copy. Thank you for all of your time reading our book and considering our project.
